2026 Canada Day Fireworks
The Kinsmen Club of Aylmer is pleased to present this years Canada Day Fireworks. Held at East Elgin Community Complex, the event includes food vendors, free swag, glow sticks and, of course, fireworks.
Kinsmen will be collecting donations at the door. While donations are not required, they do help us offset the considerable cost of the fireworks. While we don’t expect to ever breakeven on this event, any donations, no matter how big or small, are appreciated.
Please keep all dogs leashed, and provide them with ear protection. Please be respectful of neighbouring properties and residents, abiding by any fencing or barriers. We want this event to be fun and safe for everyone.
If you are planning on setting off fireworks at your own residence, please refer to the Town of Aylmer’s bylaws on the matter.

Meeting Minutes
The Club has received bursary applications from four EESS students. We offer six bursaries total. An additional bursary application was made, spontaneously, on behalf of a Kin daughter. VP Harrison Bates will look at finding one more to fill the six. As it is unusual for our bursaries to not be taken quickly, the Club unanimously approved removing all restrictions from the bursaries in regards to who can apply.
The Club discussed a potential new event. Cost, expected profits, and potential partnerships were reviewed. The proceeds of this event would go to a local youth organization. As part of that push, the Club has decided to pursue an online payments system, to make ticket sales easier.
DG Cam Walters and DGLMPP Andy Beck made a short presentation about the upcoming Spring Conference, which is to be held in Leamington on the first weekend of June.
Guest Len Adams presented the Club with information about his retirement printing business. Mr. Adams prints clothing and other items at cost for service clubs. He also donates $2 per job to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, demonstrating his dedication to a cause near and dear to the Club.
Nominations for next years Executive were held. Our next meeting will be Elections Night.
